Mechanical Engineering is a specialized and core branch which deals with Engineering Materials, Design, Machining Science, Manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CIM, Tool Design, Process Engineering & Tooling, Mechatronics, Operation Research, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Costing, Entrepreneurship Development, and Modern Quality Management practices like TQM, BPR, Concurrent Engg, Lean Manufacturing, etc. This is a unique branch of engineering in which a balanced approach is given towards basic branch of engineering.
Candidates having a creative, innovative mind, sound technical knowledge, analytical skills, and possessing excellent leadership qualities will probably find Mechanical engineering as a challenging and lucrative career.
The main and the foremost objective of the department has been to inculcate quality educational environment, at the undergraduate levels in various areas with broad emphasis on design aspects of Mechanical engineering. The Department is flourishing with tremendous growth in academics and in other activities which provide platform for the students to built their confidence and explore their abilities. The department has an experienced and dedicated faculty with strong commitment to engineering education who work with enthusiasm to provide a excellent learning environment to the students in order to help them stand in today’s competitive environment. To pace with the current technological trends, the department is well designed to all advancements in existing and emerging technologies, which gives the students a holistic and pragmatic view of the present scenario of the Mechanical Engineering Industry
The primary focus of our Departmental activities is to impart contemporary technical know-how to the students, hone their problem solving skills and sharpen their innovative minds. The course contents and add-on activities are periodically reviewed to introduce new scientific and technological developments considering the expectations of the industry. Our department has an unparalleled record in both teaching and research. The faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded in the academic circles.
It is one of the important laboratories for diploma & degree students for their course curriculum. The aim to establish this laboratory for practical training in the field of CAD (Computer Aided Designing) & CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing)
The Mechanical Engineering lab contains a variety of equipment used to aid students in understanding the theory taught in their lectures in addition to research purposes.
Strength of material laboratory provides the basic knowledge of strength of materials and the students can perform different tests on variety of materials. Experiments are performed to measure the properties of materials such as impact strength, tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness, etc.
The thermodynamics lab aims to develop a sense of understanding among students about the fundamental laws of thermodynamics and their applications.
The purpose of this laboratory is to reinforce and enhance your understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid mechanics and Hydraulic machines. The experiments here are designed to demonstrate the applications of the basic fluid mechanics principles and to provide a more intuitive and physical understanding of the theory.
The main objective of Theory of Machines lab is to impart practical knowledge on design and analysis of mechanisms for the specified type of motion in a machine.
The major goal of mechatronics laboratories is to show how to develop mechatronic systems using a systems approach, which entails integrating multiple domains such as mechanical, electrical, and electronic control domains.
This setup is designed to study the conduction heat transfers in metal rod and to determine its thermal conductivity. This setup is designed to study the conduction heat transfer through insulating powder and to determine the thermal conductivity of Insulating Powder.
The laboratory fulfils both undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum, with an aim to train students in the broad field of refrigeration and air-conditioning through studies involving refrigeration cycles, psychometric processes, and relevant system/sub-system design and performance characterization.
The aim of our Dynamics of Machines lab is to provide experimental knowledge on analysis of various mechanisms for any specific type of motion in machines. The lab has various types of transmission element models to understand the dynamics of machines.
They are used mainly for adding power to engines by adding more air. It combines both forms of turbomachines. Exhaust gases from the engine spin a bladed wheel, much like a turbine. That wheel then spins another bladed wheel, sucking and compressing outside air into the engine.
What is the purpose of a workshop? The aim of a workshop is to bring a group of people together around a specific subject. The aim is to encourage learning, collaboration, problem-solving or the creation of new ideas. Unlike a traditional meeting or conference, a workshop is often interactive and participative
